so would it be beneficial to buy new coil buckets, radius arm buckets, and a pitman arm from a coil sprung truck? Ive removed coil buckets from an 2013 truck and never want to do it again.

If you had that much trouble with the coil buckets don't attempt radius arm mounts. I found the coil buckets easy to remove I started by drill ing a 1/4" hole trough the middle of the rivet and works my way up to 7/16 till they were out. Access is great not drilling overhead like the radius arm brackets. PMF sells radius arm mounts with drop bracket in one piece see here

I would go this route if I were doing it again with a lift.

Sidwaz, did you pull those parts from a truck? It will be good to see a rig complete.

I had some lift components from a 05-07 kit already with drop brackets for radius arms but I used 4 link arms. I did have an 06 that was an insurance recovery that was torched. It was less than pleasant drilling overhead with rust and sand dropping in your eyes.

Does a really good air hammer not work on the rivets that well?

Those rivets are a PITA to get out. Heat them up and then you can work on them with an air chisel. I haven't been able to find a direct swap pitman arm so I just mod the old one to fit by having the taper slightly enlarged.

In the past, I have had good luck with an air chisel. It is definitely easier if you heat the rivet with a torch till they are glowing, but it can be done without the torch.

I definitely would not recommend using a drill like some have, seems like more work than necessary.
I have also cut the rivets flush(sawzall) and tapped them out with an air chisel. It works even better when you have a good compressor and chisel.

This is just my experience.

I havent tried others, but a Snapon air chisel cut the rivets out easily. At least the ones holding the front hanger for the rear leaf springs.

I had to cut the rivet head off with a cutoff wheel, then hit them with my IR air hammer with 150psi of air. It was still hard as hell to get them out.

The snap on air hammer is much better than anything else I have ever tried that's why I was wondering if it could be done with an air hammer only.

What would be a good price for an 05 front end with 150k on it?

We put a full 08 suspension on my friends 2000 truck. It isn't really hard to do. Only thing we left out was the 08 leafs. I will post some pics here shortly.

What works really good is just to scribe an X into the head of the rivet with a cutoff wheel. Then pop the head off with the air chisel.

With the snapon air hammer, I was able to use a chisel bit to cut the head off of the rivet and then install a straight bit to push the rest through. The only thing slightly difficult was finding the best angle to hit the rivet head at.
