I asked the same thing awhile back and was told "good rule of thumb is that your primary should flow twice as much as your secondary" but 1 of the problems I ran into is I have no idea what these 68s flow.

Probably not a good comparison but my buddies duramax has 68mm vgt and is running an s480 as the low pressure. It's the MPI kit, but there might be some difference is sizing compounds on a 6.0 due to head flow, fuel etc. That would probably help too, what size injectors will you be running your 205/100s?

I would love to know this as well. I've got a BTS stg 3 and am interested in building a compound set up to help my 6speed spool a little faster down in the lower rpms.

Odawg714 is using his Barder Stage 3 (vgt) as the high pressure with s475 as the low pressure. Its temporary but it works well he says.

And a wastegate

Not too sure on the waste gate, bp if fine in the top end but seems to be choking in the midrange zone, I'm waiting on some tune revisions to see if the veins can be opened sooner to prevent it from choking at mid, I'll keep you guys posted.

Adding a bigger lp charger in a compound system will not increase the spooling of the hp charger... if anything it might slow it down just a little. Adding the bigger charger will only help the top end.

Basically your truck will only spool as fast as the little charger. It takes so long for the bigger charger to kick in that you would have already felt the turbo lag long before the second charger lights.

Of course this is just my opinion... I don't even run compounds... but I have been doing a ton of research and will hopefully get to try them out some day.

I know the MPD guys added a 40mm JGS wasyegate on their setup with 225/100's...but they were also running the stock charger as the high pressure... not a 68mm.

Here's MPD's vgt compound setup they had.

That wouldn't make sense. The stage 3 is already a high pressure vgt. Why would you run two high pressure turbos?

That's why I was asking. The thread was started asking about compounds with a 68. Since a 6 blade 62 isn't a 68, I questioned it.
