patrickke:
Just something to think about over the week end for you...

I am thinking of selling my twins off my truck...won't really know till Monday for sure...but if I do...I am selling everything, as in parting out my engine.

The twin package will include the following:

-Ceramic coated up pipes which had the expansion bellows replaced with braided stainless steel expansion joint.
-BD diverter valve. (Ceramic Coated)
-BD pedistal and drain line.
-BW 66/71/.80 which has a ceramic coated housing. Also have a .70 A/R housing for it.
-BW S480/96/1.32 with ceramic coated exhaust housing.
-Primary turbo mounting plate and hardware.
-Down pipe
-All piping for in between turbos...all ceramic coated and has V-band clamps.
-Primary turbo inlet boot with MAF sensor, and AFE filter.
-And a whole lot more.....as in Cunningham billet rods, injectors, lower compression pistons which have been notched for valve clearances, cro-moly push rods, Elite H-11 head studs, GoGo stage 1 intake manifold (His newer version) and more!!!!

You know how to reach me...

Not sure who was talking him out of twins, but damn...they are worth it.

Even thou mine experience with them was very limited...I know that the next build will have them.

The power is so smooth, and they just keep pulling.

I say go for it.

Ivan would you be willing to sell the turbo piping and mount for the large charger? If so, how much? Not sure if you're still thinking about parting it out. With my work schedule, i just don't have alot of time to build the piping and mount. I would just hafta really find the time to worry about the drain line for large turbo. Kinda hard when i work 7 days a week 365 days a year...not much extra time away from farming.

The thing of it is, the high pressure turbo has a v-band on the compressor outlet...I chose to do it that way, so I never had a hose blow off with the high pressures...

I also thought the 66mm spooled a little slow, so I just bought a 64mm billet wheel, and another compressor cover.

Shoot me a PM, as I'm leaning towards parting it out...

really, and has ANY proven to make any power with that combo, all you've done with that combo is break crap

yes for 2 years i ran stock heads, cam, crank, bottom was never balanced, stock ford pistons with bowl work(not coated) ran a full year at 11.5-11.2 and the next year ran 10.6 consistant event after event,

then i finally spent money when i cracked a piston and the truck runs like crap.been one thing after another. next season the ONLY mods will be bowl work to stock pistons, hypermax rods, arps holding the heads down. my stock cam, heads, valve train, etc will all be stock and no the bottom will not be balanced.

if you want todo it right, stock heads, cam, exhaust manifolds, do a modded intake, arps, rods and do some bowl work, this combe has proven to work

Favorite comment on this Entire site!!! Thanks. And yes this is my 1st post over here LOL.

Which part do you find funny?
The part where I'm talking out my ass, or where Shawn says all you need for 900hp on fuel is stock heads, cam, exhaust manifolds, a modified intake, studs, rods, and some bowl work???

Mainly, i was just lauging because this is my first post over here and i chose such a controversial topic to post in. I can see that this argument will never end.... ever.

To be fair i agree with both of you to a centain degree, i have built plenty of trucks in my day, albiet never as hardcore (performance wise) as your truck or shawns. However it remains the same that sometimes stock is reliable and sometimes it's not, and on the other side of the coin the same stands to reason with aftermarket parts.

I am however, starting my build with my 6.0L which has been one hell of a truck thus far, having 175,000 km's on it, 4500 hrs, ran 41" tires, and been a patch truck it's entire life, which might seem nuts as hell to alot of people out there but at the same time i am trying to prove to people that the 6.0/Superduty platform can last a hell of a long time, engine and powertrain wise with the right mods.

It really depends on which route you take when you reach that fork in the road like you and shawn clearly have. I can tell you one things for sure, that both of you guys have influenced a **** load of people into going either route and so far i think both sides are pretty even.

Maybe my truck will fall apart after the engine build, maybe it won't i am very intrested to see and i know so are alot of other people.

Sorry if the original post came off the wrong way, & i hopes this clears up the air.
