Coolant help, QUICK!

Still new to the 6.7 and diesels in general, so bare with me.

I let my dad drive my truck and he told me the check coolant additive warning came on. I asked if he did anything to it and he told me he filled the coolant tank with some basic coolant.

Really worried about voiding warranty... what should I do!?

Not positive but I believe Ford sells the coolant additive, and I believe you can get some kind of test strip to check if the mixture is right. Only thing is I'm not sure if adding the additive to the wrong kind of coolant will help in the first place. Sorry that may not be much help, but hopefully some other guys will chime in.

Just to clarify because I'm thinking the worst. Maybe cause that's what my Dad would do haha. Did he add the green stuff or actually add the correct type fluid for the new trucks?

Looks yellow. Haven't seen the bottle but he said it said "any make, any color"

Needs to be the Motorcraft Orange. A good primary cooling system flush is in order to get your cooling system back on track.

That brand is called a water bottle.
