hello, my 09 f350 decided to start leaking coolant, at first i looks like it was coming from lower rad house on driver side where it connects to the engine, i had it sent in and they said thats not it, its up farther and he said it'll start getting expensive cause hes gonna have to start removing things, so i brought it home, im wondering if theres a common spot where it woud leak or where i should check? and if a couple somewhat knowledgeable people could attempt this. It leaves a small puddle of coolant in just a couple minutes, any help would sure be appreciated thanks

Most likely needs a new radiator. The 6.4 rads are prone to leaking. Get yourself and aftermarket unit from Mishimoto or Alradco and never worry about it again.

You should be able to find where it's coming from. Hopefully it's just one of the hoses. But as mentioned, the radiators are very prone to leaking.

its hard for to me explain everything cause i dont know proper termonolgy for a lot of things and theres so much junk under the hood, but i know for sure lower rad hose is leaking, but he said when he did a pressure test, coolant started almost squirting out from up in by the engine, could it be a head gasket? the puddle is always right be behind the axle centered between the wheels, thanks for the replies!
oh and right before i had these leaks, my alternator pulley backed off while i was driving, i fixed that finally and i drove it once, parked and found a huge puddle under my truck as soon as i got out

It would be very rare for it to be a head gasket leaking externally. I doubt the egr cooler is leaking either, unless its one of the hoses connecting the coolers. My guess is the upper radiator hose, leaking at the engine connection.

Get some pics if you can

I would also say the upper hose. If you drain the rad. I would replace both the upper and lower hose on the block side. The ford hoses are new design with one end dual sealed the hose will have one black end and one white.

I have done lots of upper hoses, a few rads, and tightened the hoses going to the coolers for coolant leaks on 6.4's
The upper hose is hard to see leaking, I use a mirror to be sure, it leaks down onto the lower hose.
