Coolant temp sensor wire problem!

I had to put a new water pump in today and when I went to disconnect the coolant temp sensor wire the inside of the wire connector crumbled apart! Can I cut the end off and wrap the wire around the sensor?

Does any one know of a after market gauge and sensor that will screw right into the stock sensor spot?

I assume this if for your factory gauge and I assume you still want the gauge to work. That said you just splice on a new pigtail for the wire and all is well.

If you want to add on a gauge you can do that as well just using the port by the thermostat housing.
