Was going to say a good bare block can be found for 1000. No worries about rods at 800hp I would say. What's your elevation? That'd be my only concern going the single turbo route.... A turbo big enough to make 800hp may have decent lag at 5000ft. Ever wonder about a 75mm upgrade? That with fuel will get you to 800hp, and keep stock like insta spool. Maybe even an upgraded vgt if you really wanted.

I'm at 5200 I believe. I'm not worried about lag lol. Lag is just foreplay. I always wanted to do a single. Plus believe it will help my engine live longer, due to no real low end torque. Plus it's all highway out here

I was looking at that. Basically the only product I seen come out since my activity on here decreased. They are about 600 correct? Can you still have it drive normal?

Your build sounds similar to mine, I'll only be pushing about 700hp though. I cracked my block as well (your situation is different from mine though). I did a new shortblock, same pistons as yours, oem crank and rods, H13 studs, hardened valve seats in the heads, the new lifters that SADP and Elite both carry, stage 2 valve springs and pushrods, Elite 1x Cam, Elites billet flexplate, ARP hardware all through the motor. If youre looking for 800hp, OEM rods should be fine. A couple people on here pushed 900 and 1000+ hp on stock rods. But if you have the money, a set of R&R rods cant hurt

Probably will start taking the front of the truck apart to get to the motor easier. If I can get pictures of the crack I will post them here to see what you all think about it and if it's nothing major. If it's a small crack the only issue I see if it's safe to still run with the block is trying to get the stuck lifter out
