Well to the catch can it runs down. Any oil that makes it past the catch can should flow back down to the can.
It's been this way for some time now.
oooooohhhh, guess i missed that you had a catch can. thought you just routed it to atmosphere... but still, if it is not routed back to the intake, then you are creating pressure.. id almost bet that if you are leaking oil, especially out of the rear main, its pressure build up..

Oh. Ok. I'll reroute it so it doesn't rise after the stock catch can then.
I didn't put the kit on. Bought the truck with it already installed on it.
It has fat 1" maybe more, hoses.
I'm assuming it has the intake tube blocked off.
How do you guys go back from the fat hose to the intake.
Is there a kit, or do you just piece together a system.
Finally., wouldn't retorting it back in the intake be bad for performance. Since you're taking away from the O2 count getting into the motor injecting smoke back into the system.

Wouldn't venting it be the best thing for performance and longevity of the motor.

I feel like the positive pressure in the motor has to be higher than that at the opening of the hose to the atmosphere and it will always flow out.

Unless some special **** goes on with diesels that I'm not familiar with. But I can't see how venting it to the atmosphere can be making pressure build up in the motor.

Reroute it just now.
So once it leaves the valve cover its straight down to the catch can.
The. From the catch can its down then across this cross member into the open.

if there is a screen or steel wool in that can then there is a restriction.. thats why it should go back up to the intake or plummed into the exhaust so it gets pulled through...

Yeah there's a screen in it. It seems to vent just fine.
I'll look into routing it to the exhaust.
