Well the pulling season kicked off Firday night with a 2nd place in work stock. There were 25 trucks in the class, 1st & 2nd were 14" apart, and 1&2 put 20'+ on the other 23 trucks.
I decided I wanted another test hook before a large event paying 1k to win WS on Saturday. So I jumped up into the 2.5 class Friday night as well. Truck was making a monstrous pass against a group of strong 2.5 trucks. I hurt the truck on that pass, but had I not hurt it multiple said it probably would have been close to placing.
We diagnosed and tore down the truck last night. #8 exhaust rocker was missing the ball. Found the ball in the bottom of the head as well. So then we threw in a good set of rocker on #8 to check compression. Results were not good, so we put shop air to that cylinder. It came out the exhaust like there was no real restriction. We decided to put a scope down it, sure enough a valve is not seating correctly.
