I recently purchased a 2019 f350 that is missing the acc sensor and the harness. The cruise control looks to be turned off as when I hooked the computer to it, it says it could not communicate with the cruise control. Does this sensor have to be on the truck for the cruise control to work even if not using the adaptive cruise feature? When I go into settings on the screen for cruise control, it will not let me click on it as if its turned off somehow.

If the truck had ACC yes, any issues (like missing sensor/harness) the truck sees will disable CC. What scan tool are you using? Why was the ACC removed?

I bought it like it sits so idk why it was removed. It was a ford scan tool my friend used that has access to one. And I'm assuming just any acc sensor won't work either as I'm sure it will only accept the one the last 8 of the vin# calls for correct?

If you’re familiar with Forscan you can disable active cruise control and switch to normal cruise control. That way you wouldn’t have to purchase the active cruise control module and harness. I did this on my father in laws f150 and it works just fine. He bought his truck wrecked and didn’t want to mess with the active cruise control module.

Thanks for the info...that relieves me from spending that crazy amount of money. I'm not familiar with forscan though, is it pretty simple to use? Which forscan do you recommend me to purchase? Also, that harness has the plug for my foglights, can I purchase just a foglight harness that would work? Thanks again.
