80 mil inducer on an s480 is in my personal opinion more along the lines of a strictly towing setup with at a max 250ish/200% nozzles it will spool really fast even with a 1.39 t6 housing but i don't think for a 400/300 there will be quite enough air there to clean it all up.. The price is not that big of a jump for a 92mil unit from forced inductions that's the direction I would go. As for gating a s366 or s364 it doesn't really matter get the biggest damn gate you can to go around the secondary 66mil precision gate or a Tial. A 44 may work but it's on the ragged edges of being overrun by pressure right around 60lbs of boost so id go bigger if it were me. 60psi in a compound setup is nothing to get to

400/300 should see in the 80-100psi range of boost. And with gates go big it's cheaper to buy it right once then do it twice

Ive seen 400/400s pass smog testsat WOP. Ive seen a compounded 7.3 with enough turbo to make 110+ boost with 400/400s, aslo be tuned down to daily drive and only make 60 psi. Still able to spool just fine. Just because its a BIG injector dont mean a turbo(s) wont clear it up. a 250cc would be a waste IMO for a compound setup. Why not go bigger to start with? TUNING TUNING TUNING.

I was saying if your after a tow/hot street setup 250/200's would be fine with compounds using the d66 and an s480 as an atmosphere i'm sure with good tuning it could get you into 575 territory.. Anything in between that injector wise I feel that you would have to change your whole setup to a different secondary charger and a larger primary. So why not go ahead and go 400/400 and go all the way with different everything. Its a steep long threshold when you decide to go that far be prepared to pay for dyno time and a live tune session to get it dialed in unless your tuning your own truck. Alot of headaches come with the territory too. Not to mention the very real possibility of a popped motor. Due rings your valve train setup possibly a cam water injection fuel pumps there are a million and one things to consider and how bad do you really want to be in the 650+ class

Most of the stuff you need to make 650-700hp. You also need to make 450-550hp, if you want to stay safe and reliable. Stock heads have gone a long way...but they have also blown HG's and bent pushrods at the 400-450hp level. Stock forged rods have gone a long way. But ive seen 500hp trucks with window mods.

If you have your heart set on compounds go big.. Fire ring the heads they will not live long at much over 50lbs even with studs mine didn't anyways made it about 1k miles

Of course head work will help. Studed and oringed. Springs and pushrods. If you have the extra money get them ported and polished

Get the correct spring setup for what you're wanting to do what level of boost/ backpressure.. If your taking the heads off fire ring them for sure if not both the block and heads. I'm kinda on the fence if whether to do pushrods or arisely made a good point awhile back that he would rather bend apushrod than valve/break a rocker arm..
