I've got a late build 04 cclb with ********** tunes, snow stage 2, studded, ******d, mbrp 4 inch single smoker system, volant intake and found i have lifted the heads again. Truck is getting arp625 studs and o ringed. Shop i get my performace stuff through is trying to sway me to a non vgt turbo. Truck is my daily driver and tows approximately 15k about once a month. Injector upgrades are also a toss up. Thinking 175/30 or 190/30 as i like to play with it too. Shop is recommending s364.5. Anyone run this as a daily driver with either set of injectors? My worry is spool up time on the fixed turbo. If i go with a vgt it'll be a kc stage 2 as i have driven a truck with stock injectors and this turbo and was rather impressed. Thanks.

190/75 with the s364.5 would probably be a great set up. I'm running the 366 with 190/30 and it's slow to spoil and would not recommend it for towing

I run a stage 2 vgt and 190/30s as a DD and it has great street manners and tows well.

I think the 190/75 setup may be a bit much on the fuel side i dont want it too smoky.

How smoky is the 190/30 and stage 2?

I've got emissions out here so i'm gonna need to get a no smoke tune written and too smoky of tunes tend to be frowned upon on the street by local law enforcement, dont ask me how i know...

Thanks guys.

Its hard to beat 175/30 or 190/30 and a good stage 2 turbo. That should put your right around 525-575hp. Spools very fast, runs clean, and still tow max weight (as long as you don't have giant tires). IMO this one of the best setups out there and fits all the needs of those guys looking to push their trucks hard with entering into the "race" category where you start to lose towing/driving abilities around town.

I have personally ran 190/30 + KC stage 2 turbo. I also sell that combo to a lot of guys and they all seem very happy. It will run very well, spool fast, run clean, tow great... but on a full fuel race tune the turbo won't be able to clean up all the full at WOT. It will be a nice thick haze, but should not roll black coal.

my favorite daily driver set up is a 190/75 or 190/100 with a 364.

great street manners, stays cool, and just all around a great fun setup.

I've dcided on the kc stage 2 and 190/30's. Thanks for your input guys.

Enjoy, you might want to start thinking about some fuel system upgrades.

Edit: see you already have an AD2, I would change that out for a Fuelab or Aeromotive pump due to it's track record though and I would add a regulated return.

Thanks for the advice. A regulated return is in the near future as is a new pick up. As for right now gonna see how it does with the air dog. I hold 62 psi with the stock injectors, so i'm hoping

Not to derail but since we are on the subject how do you yall think a sxe369 would behave with 205/100's?

Friend of mine installed one on his truck this weekend with 205/50s and he loves it so far. It cleans them up to a very light haze and he says it spools quick like his 68vgt did but pulls harder.

That's good to know! Definitely going to have to try one out. Just have to get this 68 rebuilt and sold.

Exactly what he did. Went from a 68 to the 369 and loves it even with the 50% nozzles. I think it will do REALLY well with the 100s. Let me know if you need help sourcing any parts for that setup, I'd be glad to help you out.
