HHow involved is this? Im wanting to swap in a D80 with disc brakes and a locker. Im curious as to how involved this would be along the lines of getting the brake lines connected and the driveshaft mounting up. Also would the width hurt it any? How well would the spring perches mount up? Any modifications there? The disc brakes would be huge for me since me and the drum brakes don't get along at all. Thanks, Daniel

I've got a dually Dana 80 I'm selling... It has drums though, however, it would look pretty BA sitting under a Ford, would give it a really wide stance!

If I'm not mistaken the major issues are removing stock spring perches and adding new perches. The other issue I foresaw was the speedo sensor, as I thought dodge's were in the transmission and not the axle.

What's wrong with your sterling?

Nothing is wrong with it I just really want disc brakes. Seems no matter what I do with the drums I can't get them right.

That site has a some cool parts on it. However the cost of the conversion I can pick up a 80 for half that.

Would you be able to swap sd brake setup and get an 8-6.5 adapter because I'm pretty sure the 10.25 and the 10.5 are basically the same axle other than ring and pinion and lug pattern

They'll fit because the bore diameter is larger, but they center on the hub. Look at the lug nuts sometime - the lug nuts just hold it on the hub. If you use a larger center hole diameter the wheel isn't balanced on the axle. That's a big problem.
