Friend of mine got a 2012, he asked me if it was worth ******** the def. Figured I’d ask here.

Unless you are looking for more horsepower, it is barely more than a personal preference thing. If you are looking at replacing bad or worn out components, it can roughly be the same price and then you never need to worry about them anymore.
