So apparently I need to pull the PCM to install the Cyclops for my Hydra chip to install the cable that came with it I figured it was the same as the cable for the switcher but never got a strait answer from PHP so I guess I will switch it out. So anyways I was going to cut the plastic on the PCM bracket so I can get to the chip easier without pulling everything if the need arises in the future so the question is do I need to unplug the batteries to pull the chip out of the PCM? I hate pulling the cables off the batteries because I have to reset all my functions on my stereo, but I also don't want to fry a PCM either.

Glad to see you don't have to disconnect the batteries, because when I had to install my chip I just went for it. I didn't have any issues afterward so I figured it was OK lol

As long as the keys aren't in the ignition, that is all that matters. When keys are out of the ignition, the PCM has no power, same as when the batteries are disconnected.
