it has, but it wants me to put my foot down so it will up the line pressure, half throttle shifts hang a bit from 2-3

matt can throw in some pressure i would think.

that hpop will be the real test on that trans.

Im still having a flare on the direct shift even after getting my trans done.... Altering the tuning wouldn't fix anything up until Doug at GoGo sent me a trans only file to test out, now it shifts perfectly... makes me wonder..

thats weird greg..We should just have one giant PSA live tuning week in the summer LOL solve everyone's issues. As soon as I get the HPOP in, I am going to ask matt for another live tuning session, I want to put good numbers down

I'm beyond fed up with this trans! Its always been quirky and nothing but a giant pain in my ass! The only thing on the oasis for this truck was a new transmission at 2k miles, nothing else. Something was faulty and trashed it... And I know if i replace it with another factory transmission from a wrecked truck ill have the same problems, thats just how my luck rolls. So im just going to deal with it until it craps the bed which seems like its inevitable and have Doug send me a trans. :morons:

Chris said he may be at TS in May, and I really want to make it out there for that, for tuning purposes alone, if he cant make it, then hopefully Matt will

Just make sure your work space is larger than a tailgate!

Last one I did was in the dining room of my house on fort benning, my poor wife has to deal with stuff like that quite often

Haha I know what you mean! My roommates complain the down stairs is a napa lol. And I suggest you buy an ATSG manual, $40 and it can teach a monkey how to build these

I honestly don't remember. I just kept googling them until I found a good price. You can get the OTC tools...but its not worth doing it yourself at that point.

Realistically, I wouldn't do it yourself if you haven't done it before. You can FUBAR a clutch pack if you don't install it correctly.

I can't believe I tried mine at 17 years old on a tailgate...so stupid.

There's something up with that transmission tuning for sure...
I had a flare/hesitated shift when my trans was stock...thought it was bitched, so I spent the 5K on a new NADP trans.
Got it back, and had the SAME PROBLEM!!
Called them up and the first thing he said was, "Does it have the latest TCM update from ford?"
I took it to ford, they flashed it, and $107.00 later, it was perfect.

Too bad I didn't go to the dealer first....could have saved some cash....eventually would have needed it anyways I guess.
