Im putting together prices on elite diesels HD rebuild kits and input shafts. With a stallion torque converter, i can rebuild my transmission myself to elite's specs for about 1k cheaper. So my questions is, how hard is it to really rebuild the 5r? Im willing to do this because i want the knowledge of how this transmission works and ticks. If all else fails i could take it to a reputable local shop, but i would do it myself. Or even if there is a local member who has expirience who wants to come by and give some pointers.
