Talk to the boys at MPD. Innovatives race truck did thatm and they said why it was doing it but i cant remember at all. I know loping is very bad for 6.0 injectors.
Well the are innovative injectors, same size that Eric did have in his truck before he went hybrids.
matt....mine will do it too for a couple seconds on a cold start. curious to see what people say.
now quit messing with your truck and start on my uppipes!
I assume I'll have my ass ragged for suggesting this, but is it just stiction? I knew a guy with an 03' 6.0l that did that on start up, but with more smoke. He was running Amsoil on 10,000 mile change intervals, yes 10,000 mile intervals, and his was runnin' like sh*t (big surprise). I got him to drain it and change to Rotella T6 5w-40 and add some Hot Shots Secret. It slowly started to clear up and after a second oil change (at 3500 miles) and another dose of HSS it starts and runs normal again. I do however believe his injectors aren't long for this world since he decided to go back to Amsoil and 10,000-12,000 mile change intervals.
I have stock injectors with gogo's race tune it will lope/smoke like that at 50* and down. Doesnt lope with inovatives tune but smokes...
Mine did too, until I put new batteries in it. New batteries and a good working FICM do wonders in cold weather. I went to a FICM with older programming on it too, and my one sticky injector I had disappeared as well.
