Anyone had any luck knocking the screen out of the DPF filter an turning it off with a tuner. As opposed to running a delete pipe and having to go through the hassle of puttin it back on to head to the dealer?

I have put my whole exhaust back on for warranty a few times. not too bad. I'm not sure if anyone ever piped through the dpf and was successful... but honestly just getting an exhaust is all around better with tuning.

lemme know if you'd like a package price on tuning

Price a replacement DPF just in case....then you will know why I did not do that.

Good point. I was just thinkin if you just removed the screen you could put the ECM back to stock and it would just be undetected unless they pulled the DPF down.

I argued that with a guy on a duramax he hollowed out the dpf and thought that hey no restrictions so it would never regen he also laughed at me when they got it done and the truck ran great...lol got a Call the next day apparently the computer said....hey something isn't right let's go into reduced power limp mode....i would stick with the delete pipe that can be removed easy
