got my new tires and wheels installed, went to get an alignment, passenger ball joints bad, so:

I've read that moog sucks, moog is good.
I've read about other brands good and bad.

which leads me to dynatrac

anyone used them, any good. not priced much more than the moog the shop was pricing me

any write ups on ball joint removal or installation?
anything to look out for when doing them?

Dynatrac all the way. Top notch product/service/support.

Just rent a ball joint/u-joint removal tool from your local auto parts store.

Afterwards, have the truck aligned and you are all set!

There are a lot of youtube videos that document the removal and installation process. THere is one that stands out in my mind but I dont have the link handy.

I will see if I can find it.

Good luck!

Hopefully you got the install tool for the ball joints also. It's nice to have that rather than digging to find an adapter that will work with them.

I'm about a week away from having a write-up done for this process. I went with XRF ball joints, figured I would give them a shot.

did you go with xrf tie rods etc?
if so where did you get them, I've looked around for a kit, but haven't found anything.
Although I replaced my tie rods etc a couple years ago, I might as well do it now since I'm getting it aligned with my new rsk set up, it will all be new

I didn't buy tie rods or anything from them, I was just going to use Raybestos or Moog for those. I got the ball joints from a place called Quality Parts Warehouse in Dallas. If you call XRF they'll give you the number for the closest distributor. For uppers and lowers it only cost me $136, and I've heard some good revies on them.
