You should keep going to that dyno if it gives out candy like that.
Like I said earlier I know all dynoes are different and I'm pretty well going by the first two pulls. I was also told this particular one would go in my favor. Maybe the numbers are high maybe they are not. I don't know. I'm just going with what I have available in my area. I know my truck is not the baddest on the planet. I'm just proud of the work and time I put into it. Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one...

If you wanna know how much power it makes, weigh it and get some track times. Use the same dyno every time just to track changes as you make modifications. The number is irrelevant...just use it to see of the numbers are going up or down.
My old truck never dynoed over 425 hp and was 2wd so it didn't run good ET's....but it trapped consistent 110 mph at 7600lbs so it was making ~700 at the tires give or take a couple. That was before the Cummings swap.

Thanks Unbroken. I plan on going to the track next month. They have diesel drags at my local drag strip. Anxious to try it out!

There was no opinion in my statement.

Yep, everyone calls that dyno the heart breaker for fun. It only stalled half or more of the "big" singles trucks that got on there. And quite a few other trucks similarly equipped have been around the same numbers across the country. Purely coincidence I suppose.

It's all cool Jon. No big deal. I really wasn't gonna post this on here cause I figured everyone would chime in saying that it would do this on this dyno and this with this dyno. Not trying make anyone mad. I was just happy with the results and felt good regardless the result were knowing I spent the time, money, and work into it. Thanks to all the input from you guys on here. I know it's helped me immensely.

So let me get this straight , you're saying adding a higher resistance to the roller inflates torque and HP? You do realize a dyno measures how quickly you can accelerate said rollers? While it "may" spike the torque number down low, the vehicle still had to overcome the load so it did actually make the power though that may not relate to actual street usage because that load is never apparent. It'll still hurt the HP numbers regardless after load exceeds the capability of the vehicle to overcome it . If you think otherwise, you should definitely contact dynojet and other manufacturers and submit your theory.
