If you've ever had something machined, you'd know why his price is what it is. I personally thought Steve's price was very reasonable. And the parts are of high quality. You get what you pay for.

I understand its not cheap. Im just saying that we dont need freakin aircraft grade materials on something that doesnt even move. He said it himself that he was anal about his work, which is fine, if he can sell his product for the price he wants and re invent the wheel then more power to him. After he has his time and effort into his work, im sure it is worth the price, but I just think its over engineered for what it is. A solid up pipe, an egr valve block off plate, and a coolant re route pipe is generally what a delete kit consists of, and its a proven, solid setup, with the same end result, a happy customer with a truck that he doesnt now have to worry about when their truck is gonna start rolling white smoke, and not pumping soot back into their engine.

Honestly for me its not even about cheaping out on quality to save a few bucks, it is about giving my money to the company's (even if it cost more) that pay to be part of a forum that I learn and visit daily. Hoping in the end that the circle of information and advancement for the powerstroke keeps moving forward HERE.

Ill agree with that. Most of the vendors on this forum are all stand up guys/companies that will do whatever it takes to help a member out. That's why when I need something I go straight to PSA. Always an answer, always the part you need.

I'll agree that some things just do not need to be made of the best materials on the planet, now it needs to fit correctly, no way around that. I've been burnt by a few "stand up" guys before, so that's just made me even leary of using the customer service excuse to pay more. I'm in the what's cheapest, does the job, and have no use for customer service way of thinking.

I'm sure you do make a quality kit, and ipr gets rave reviews. I'm making my opinion like Holley vs joe blows performance shop. There are very few times joe blow will be cheaper, his may be fancier in some way, but big name works great, and can be had reasonably. There is a happy medium for price and quality.

This^ if it wasnt for this site im sure allot of us would have problems with our trucks we wouldnt be able to figure out ourselves. The website is a great tool and has tons of info and with no funding that tool will no longer be here.
Kinda like how your asking what the best egr delete is, You never asked for what the cheapest kit it...
