Egr ****** hose replacement

Anyone know what size the ID is on the egr ****** hose? It's smaller than 3/4 isn't it? Mine cracked yesterday and I need to replace it, but would rather try and source some high temp silicon hose locally instead of slapping a random piece of standard heater hose on it.

I was thinking that myself but wanted to see what others thought. Just seems a little bigger than that looking at it from above

It was 5/8". And for anyone wondering, Napa sells the high temp silicone heater hose in that size. Blue outer with the orange inner. $12/ft.

Do you have to put a soft plug in the intake when you go this route.
