engine breaking up around 3000rpm?

I have a 03 6.0 with sct livewire. At first when I put it on it was fine. But now every once and awhile when accelerating to about 3000rpm it will break up. Not really sure what's going on with it. Any ideas? Thanks Mark

I'd venture to say that whatever you're experiencing isn't normal.

Does it do it all the time or more when the engine is cold? How many miles on the oil?

Its almost like its missing or not enough fuel. Once it gets close to 3000rpm it starts popping. Last oil change was less than 1000 miles ago when I did the head studs. It was doing it before I did the head studs to so I no it doesn't have anything to do with that. Thanks Mark

When mine was breaking up at high rpms it was my ficm going bad. Replaced it and haven't had a problem since and it's been a couple years now.

Need to check fuel psi and hpop psi (icp), any codes?

I will have to check the ficm a again to see if it is. Checked out about a year ago and it was still good. I will check fuel pressure and oil. Don't think I have any codes but will check that to. Thanks for the responds!
