Exhaust sound

Hey yall I did a search and didn't come up with much. As of right now my truck has 4" piping to 5" stacks. That's what was on it when I bought it and I love the sound but not really liking the stack look anymore. So I'm in the market for a new exhaust. Just had some questions about them. I'm pretty sure they all sound the same but is there a different sound between aluminized and stainless? Are duals much louder than a single exit? I'm pretty sure I want to go with 5" piping. Does a bigger tip change the sound?

Here's my exhaust. 4" stainless Magnaflow duals with 6" polished stainless tips. Running 68mm vgt turbo.

5" will be deeper, and loud as **** at w.o.t.
I personally like the way 5" sounds vs 4.

I personally like 5 inch on all diesels. Much deeper tone which I like.

You're not gaining any performance going with 5" over a 4" exhaust.

5" with a stock down pipe was alot louder then when I bumped up to a 4" downpipe. That and going from a stock tune to a race tune made it louder

Really? I would think 4" dp would louden it up. Mine has a 4" dp now what is stock size?

3" if I remember correctly. But yes, race tune with a stock down pipe at WOT was much louder then the 4"dp. I'll get a video after work today.
