Hey thanks guys. I'm gonna work the hell out of it this fall and see how it does with just 2wd. If it turns out to be a must them I'll do it this winter. I got a call a couple days ago on the wheels saying its gonna be another 2-3 Weeks. I guess one of there machines broke down.

That sucks, I was really looking forward to seeing that setup sooner.

Im not sure if youve had exhaust in front of the rear tire before but it isnt fun to keep clean if youre worried about that. We had it on our f450 and it actually discolored the simulators permanently (maybe poor quality). On a DD or a nice truck if you use tire dressing, the soot mixes and becomes a thick oil on the tire, but a work truck prolly doesnt matter. Other than that, you may need some nice utility lights rear facing in case you have to hook a trailer or work in the dark. they are lifesavers. This is an awesome build though

How hard was the light conversion? I bought same truck 01 F550 4x 7.3 6spd.210" WB. Will become tilt bed deck truck eventually
Agreed Jim AC, never enough lighting around a work truck. Eliminates stepping in s hole etc

Thread is 5 years old. Brian doesnt even get on here anymore. He got a 6.7 and scrapped this idea.
