Mines been gone for two years now, no issues. Tired of fighting around it and just grabbed it and yanked it off. Ain't no way I'd pay 300 for that thing

well folks I am still unsure about my fan stator. It was broken at three of the mounting bolt holes when I had an ahh shit rear ender. Do I want to spend $350 for new or continue digging on the internet for used parts. another option is trying to fiberglas it back together. I am surprise that it is hard to find a used part. Still digging

You don't need it as mentioned above several times.
But you need the shroud at the radiator.
