I haven't heard or seen anything bad come from the 58V FICM's. I have seen a couple, and I mean only two, 58V swamps boards that melted down. All it did was short on the board itself and took itself out. Didn't harm injectors, didn't do anything else. Those were YEARS ago too. Everything else is just word of mouth IMO and no proof of anything one way or the other. 7.3 guys have been running hotter IDM's for years.

I was thinking the same thing Mike. What horror stories have you heard from the 58v ficm's?

I've always heard positive things till lately guys on other forumn/message boards starting all kinds of havoc about 58v FICMs destroying injectors...or very bad and they run too hot and melt.

Their injectors are going reasons "probably" other than the 58 FICM. It's a perfectly good reason to fault the injector failure and even so, who's to say it's related to the fact the ficm is a 58v ficm? Faulty diagnosis lead to misunderstanding of components and their operation.
