ficm questions

I am fairly new to the 6.0 and within the last month or so i have invested some money into it. bullet proofed using Arp studs oem gaskets. sct live wire with Kem Tuning (58v) ficm with KEM tuning batmowheel.

Now the part for my question:
I was playing around with the different settings on the Sct and found the FICM internal injector Voltage. once i clicked on it the reading was a solid 48v. does this mean the shop charged me for a 58v ficm and installed a 48v ficm?

I recall the system will only read 48v. You would need to verify the voltage directly off the FICM to see 58V.

Yeah the ford ECM wont allow 58v to be shown. Have to verify with a multimeter.

To add to this alot of shops put in a resistor so the ECM only sees 48v otherwise it will set a P0611 code

so while driving around yesterday i was watching that gauge and it would fluctuate between 47 and 48 volts. if it is a true 58 v FICM would it do that. I havent gotten in and checked right from the FICM.

What are you using to monitor this?

Does not seem like a 58v to me at all. Most of the time if you monitor it on something it will be pegged at the highest value and not move at all.

When you installed it did you clip the wire for 58v? If not it's just putting out 48v but capable of 58.

Not talking down to you, just know things get missed.

It was installed at a shop that I had nothing but issues with when it was done so I don't know they did it while doing the bullet proofing. I would think that it would stay pegged at 48v unless I was getting over 10v drop somewhere

Thanks for the link it is raining cats and dogs here I'll have to wait till the weekend to test it. The shop I took it to took 6 weeks to finish it. And they still owe me an egt probe
