i've had two 5" stacks on my first setup for about 5 years....now i've had a single 6" stack for about 2 years....and now i'm ready to get rid of the whole stack thing. Going for the MBRP cool duals in the spring. I'm sick of the stack thing.

I hope your truck doesn't smoke to much. The top of the cab will get black quick if it does with the stack that low. Looks good though. Doesn't look as bad as I thought an 8" would.

That may be a problem with short stacks but there is absolutely no problem if you run a stack 1" higher than the cab line.

Lookin good, I agree about moving it just above the cab, looks like a pissed off Doberman. As for the hole, I have a 1/16th hole drilled at the elbow where it turns up, and there is no soot under there. Nothing like seeing black rain shoot out when you first fire it up.

you'll get black soot reguardless if you have a hole in the elbow or not....well at least i have. If there is enough soot buildup in the stack...the exhaust pressure alone will knock soot loose from the inner walls of the stack and send it flying out. Also if there is a heavy dew....this will put moisture on the soot on the part of the upper inside of the stack and will do the same upon start up.
