The few times ice has built up on my amp steps they don't come down, but when they thaw out they go back to working perfectly. But we don't have a ton of ice or snow down here, maybe one to three times a year.

Side note, it's quite the surprise when they don't go down and I'm used to it. Especially when the ground is slick. LOL

OP: Truck looks great. I like the orange, I've got rings for my wheels but never could decide what to do with them. The raw aluminum didn't really do it for me.

Great looking truck buddy! Now I know it will definitely fit I am doing 37's on carli 2.5 this week as well and was worried about having to hack it up real bad to make them work.. Kind of feel a little relief now lol

Thanks man, All depends on wheel width and backspacing, what wheels are you going to run?

Thanks man, yeah it snows and we have slushy **** on the roads for 4-5 months a year here. And -20 or 30 wind chills aren't unusual. I don't think they'd hold up very well and for the price is rather keep what I have or go without.

I'm going to run 20x9 kmc bullys 0 offset .With toyo RT 37x12.50 . I ordered bumper spacers just incase I need them. I want to do the least amount of trimming as possible.

Hard to say, you've got wider wheels but skinnier tires. Post some pics in here when you get them on

Damn it. I had settled on 20s for when I do my lift and now I'm questioning it again. Truck looks sweet, OP. Simple, clean, and rugged looking with just a little "flash" from the orange. I dig it!

I dig it. I look at least once a week at 17" bead locks and 35" Toyo RT's for mine.

I'd skip the 17s being you have the bigger front brakes. Stick on weights will hit the caliper... It was a PITA when I had 17s.

The OP has a 2011-2013 which has the smaller calipers so he can fit 17s better.

Smallest I'd go is 18s.

A few months ago I put the 2.5" Carli backcountry kit with full leafs on my truck. I was determined to run toyo 37x13.5 MTs on the truck so I did a lot of research on how I could get them to work without hacking up the truck. Huge thanks to George at 8lug and Larry at TRailready, with their help I knew I had to keep it to 8.5" wide or less and around 5" backspacing. When I decided on the simulated bead locks from TR I found out they were actually 8" wide so I bumped the BS out a 1/4" to 4.75" so if have a little more clearance of the radius arms. I did have to trim the bumper brackets, liner, and about 1/4" of the fender behind the front tires. Nothing major I sanded the area and put some flat black paint on and you can't even tell. Had I stuck to 5" bs I wouldn't have had to trim any steel but would have made minor contact on the radius arms. Anyways that's what ya need to do to run the wide 37s on a 2.5" level. Now for the pics!

Not everyone will like the orange I get that, but I do so that's all that matters to me. This truck is definitely different then then what most people like now days with big wheels and lower profile tires. I like the meaty tire look. Now I just need to paint the hubs to match and get some front tints and I'll be done for awhile. Almost 10gs in this truck in 6 months after I sold my 03 cobra because I spent too much money on it lol. Trucks are no better I guess.

truck looks really good actually and I usually like bigger wheels and less tire. how does it ride? I would imagine better than the factory 20's. And how does it tow with the 37's and 17's? I saw they were load rated to 4300lbs but wasn't sure if they felt a little squirmy with a sidewall that tall..?

For anyone wanting to run 37s and 2.5in lift. A 17x9 with a 5.5in back space 0 offset will fit perfectly. I only had to trim the fender liner, it never contacting the actual fender nor bumper.
With stock radius arms it would rub the paint off. I had CARLI arms and had zero issues with rubbing.
This was with 37x12.5r17 Toyo RT and falken 37x12.5

Towing wasn't bad considering. I ran more into the issue of full deaver springs without airbags.

Thanks for the compliments. I was originally going to go with the bmf ssd but they were on back order at the time with no clue as to when they'd be available. The truck definitely rides better then with stock 20s and 33s. Only thing I've towed is my 16ft fishing boat so I haven't had any real weight behind it to answer that.

I think the increased width of the 13.5 toyo mt is where you really have to get creative with fitment. If you're ok with running the 12.5 wides there is a lot more room. Mine measure almost 14.5. I modeled my setup off what George has on his. He runs bmf 17x8.5 with 5" of backspacing. With the same tire he only had to trim liner and bumper brackets but did contact the stock radius arms that's why I bumped mine out a little more seeing as my wheels were narrower. It took a lot of reading and talking with people to get them to fit but I feel like I got the look I was going for without hacking the truck to pieces.

Here you go buddy. Had to trim the front bumper bracket and cut/bend back the back part of fender . Not bad at all!

What gears are in your truck? Mine doesn't seem to need them but I guess maybe if your doing a lot of heavy towing that'd be different.
