Story behind truck – I bought it as a crank no start and got it to this point. IDM was fried, injectors blown out. 2000 Ford Excursion 7.3 4x2 with 276K miles.

Rough start, dead passenger bank. Manifold is cold.

FFD Stage 1 injectors installed.

No codes in PCM or IDM, injectors all pass buzz test. All Injectors squirting oil from deflector when running. No visible high-volume leaks. LPOP reservoir filled to top.

IDM Harness Ohm’d out to all injectors and GP at 2.9 Ohm. IDM is new unit from DTC.

Main harness removed multiple times and continuity, and OHM checked, all pass.

Both driver and passenger UVCH changed. Connectors verified on both sides.

Driver VC checked for abrasions on wiring, none found, put heater hose on the wires anyway.

Checked Oil pressure at rails, >2000 idling on both sides with high pressure mechanical gauge.

Fuel filter showing 60 PSI pre.

Removed passenger check valve, was a little sticky so removed it. Blew out line towards the filter to verify its good.

No fuel in coolant, No Fuel in Oil, fluid levels remain the same for both.

I also swapped in a known good IPR, same ‘no fire on passenger’ condition.

When valve covers were on, I did the flip the oil cap upside down and it just vibrated, not a lot of pressure.

I don’t know where to go from here. Any help is appreciated.

I have used search, watched videos, etc. But here I am.

Thank you, Joe

You removed/cleaned the filter screen on the cylinder head? You can remove the opposite end casting plug to make sure fuel is flowing through the head.

Yes on the line behind the pass head next to turbo, I removed the check valve and gutted it. Then blew out the line back towards fuel filter. When I removed the line, very little diesel came out. I expected the head to drain.

On the passenger head how do I do this? Is it behind the AC compressor and idler bracket? I have not found any 1/8 plug so far, but I did not remove the accessory drive.

Thanks.

Oh it's buried deep down in there.. I was able to get mine out without taking the accessories off. That was when I installed my Riffraff FRX. Its just a typical square head pipe fitting

Thank you for the suggestion. I didn't see it under all the gook.

Once I cleaned the area and hooked up a pressure gauge it showed 100 PSI on prime and then backed down to 65 after prime.

Any other ideas? I have read about IDM shutting down banks at a time, but usually with an accompanying code or something. The likelyhood of 4 cylinders with bad compression is also low. Even a bad injector copper seal wouldn't prevent the whole bank from firing.
