Every manufactured set I've ever seen bolted to the cab, on the back side of the pinch weld iirc. Not saying they don't exist though. Might have to build a set.

my bad, they dont make the frame mount for the old models.

Don't recall a frame-mounted step for Fords... might call Tough Country down in El Campo, TX... they'd be your best bet besides building your own.
