Well calling it a night.....I will say I've had better luck and I should have quit while I was ahead, but had to push it......which, in the end is what we do. Passenger side tomorrow will go much better and quicker, lessoned learned....post pics when I'm done, but fiberglass bedsides wont get here fast enough

Lol, driving a beater for a few days? If it wasn't for this cast on my hand I would be driving my F150 Im a little embarrassed by the way the 350 is looking right now. But she is the only automatic I own, so no options but to drive it.

Julian just sent me this, 2 down 2 to go. Had a little issue yesterday getting the tires to seat, but they are getting it done today.

Its been a looooong weekend, to say the least.....only to be capped off with not having the right thread pitch on the lug nuts, but the fender work is done and despite the two screw ups on the bed, it came out bitchin..... I'm very pleased, and remember these are 20x12s and its no where near stance position because of not having lugs, but I had to see what it would kinda look like.....

Passenger side....

Damn... that looks good better than I thought in my head
that sucks on the crease, did it do it on both sides?

No just the driver, as I wanted to work with the fuel filler neck first to make sure I wasn't getting too crazy, which happened anyway, but like I said, now I know and I get the feeling I'll be doing this a few more times

I love it.... wanna do mine?

Not anytime soon, but if you decide to do it, I'll walk you thru the dos and donts lol....

So what exactly did you do to stretch the rear fenders out?

2x4 and a jack to push it out.

Yes and no.......I thought I could maybe get away with just removing the two lower bedside support brackets and cutting the welded in plate in the inner wheel well......I was wrong.

In order to get the amount of flare that I got, you have to drill out the 5 spot welds on the bottom back corner of the bed, 3 behind the bumper and two underneath. That will let you by yourself, (instead of two buddies pulling) slide a scissor jack between the inner and outter bedside. A bottle jack, which is the tool of choice wont work, there isn't enough room. I was able to slide a 2ft 2x4 on top of the scissor jack......this was mistake #2, I don't know if it wasn't long enough or if I just got too carried away, but this caused crease 1 and 2. I found it actually worked better to slide the scissor jack in the cut you made earlier one inner fender well plate and jacking it open from there.....no creases when doing that LOL.

Then once you get the size gap you want, I took 3" stainless steel plates and "bridged" the gap on said plate, then extended and re-work the ends of the support brackets.....I wish I would have measured before hand, but now if you measure from the leaf spring pack to the bottom most point of the bedside, which looks like pinch weld, it measures at 14" now. Everything is still rough looking underneath, as I wanted to see where I was at.....but I will post more detailed pics as I get it cleaned up and still need to figure out what I'm gonna do with the drilled out spot welds....

wow, that looks great!

Thanks man!

Is it just me or is the bumper to bed gap all out of whack here? Is it just ****ty bumper fitment or did flaring the bedsides screw with it?

he had to cut the spotwelds at the back there so the whole bedside could move out i believe. what you are seeing is a gap that was previously welded together.

It's just you Mr Picky LOL.....fitment is factory, may look a lil strange as its showing factory primer from the inner part of the bed, but nothing as changed there, except for the over lap of the out skin has move a little.......its funny how you don't notice how bad or off factory fitment is until you start messing with it, much like the front bumper and fender alignment
