I'm in the process of building traction bars. I have the bars and axel mounts figured out. I'm trying to figure out if I should weld the front mount or bolt it to the frame???? I'm hoping some of you diy guys have so tricks and ideas on the subject thanks

Do not buy anything from Ballistic fab, they screwed over a bunch of customers. Try Ruff stuff for brackets. My front mounts are welded.

I've always been advised against welding on a frame for fear of cracking. I think I'm going the bolt on route I'm gonna use a heavy angle iron with about 4 ,1/2" holes. I'm not sure if I should run two holes on each end or run all four horizontal

I bolted mine. Theres a big hole right before the frame curves up to go over the axle. I used a piece of angle and put a 5/8" bolt through the existing hole and two 1/2" bolts on the bottom side.

I may weld my next set but this is my first set so.... I may change them eventually. The easier to get off the better lol. I think I can bolt them down solid and be strong enuff. Thanks for the info guys I'm really getting into this project
