Jusus christ.. so i picked up the truck from getting the 4.10's and truetrac installed drove 40 miles home get all the way to my street and stop and i have this LOUD rattle at idle.. goto drive off and it goes away.. idle again and its back it sounds horrible.. sounds like the motor is blown up.. broken rocker or rod. or something in the converter let loose.. i dont think it the motor since it revs fine.. but my god it sounds bad... if its the trans then thats number 2 bts in a year. but i have no idea. im freaking out... i just had a gear swap so its not like i was getting on it at all. i dont think i give it more then a 1/4 peddle the whole trip home... motherf%$ker..:wtf:

I was hearing something like a tick like a valve train tick or exhaust leak when idling the past couple days but it came and went and was faint I couldnt really pinpoint it as a problem but it was enough I turned down the radio to try to listen

well, I've installed quite a few transmissions and I don't usually use locktite, but it isn't a bad idea. did it egg out the holes?

Odd, my 4r100 TC has studs that come through the flex plate and then you install nuts.

How come yours are bolts ?

And that sucks dude. Had a buddies dodge do that, we managed to tap all the treads in the TC and used some slightly longer bolts, with loctite, and it's held since.
