Im wanting to delete the fuel bowl / filter on my 05 6.0. I already have the filter and stove pipe out of it. Im running an Airdog 2 165. I dont have a Regulated return kit for it but from what I have been told the AD2 regulates the fuel pressure and returns it to the tank so I would not need to have a reg return system. What fittings/ parts and etc do I need to do this ? I already have Trusted diesel's stage 1 fueel feed kit and rear crossover. If any one has any pics of what they did and info that would be awesome. Thanks guys.

Going to be tough without a RR. the fuel bowl had a return built in. are you against adding a RR? it would make it easier on you I believe and help with fuel sitting in the heads.

How are the hose ends on the feed kit that hooked to the fuel bowl. I'm assuming they are -6 so you could just get a tee fitting with the inlet -8 and -6 outlets. The line coming from the Airdog is -8 and your gonna have to run a piece of hose to get to the tee from the adapter airdog provides. A simple push-lok union would do.

Thats why I did the AD2 is so I wouldnt have to do a reg return kit. I just want to keep the fuel system simple. The AD has a pressure reg and returns fuel back to the tank why would I need to add a second regulator to the system. It just seems redundant to me and I know there has to be a way to run this set up.

my bad, not too familiar with the AD. with that said, seems like you could just do as said above.

Yes 6 an fittings at the bowl. A quick disconnect adapter... that might be a tough find. I was thinking of a set up like you are talking about. Do you know anyone who would have pics of a set up like this. I understand what you are saying to do but its always nice to see it.

I did this to my bros cause we stripped the threads out of the fuel bowl. I'll see if I can snap some pics of it later. No need to find anything for the adapter, just cut it off and use a -8 Push-Lok union to extend the hose to the tee. (Airdog provides Push-Lok hose) I can get you a parts list if you need.

That would be awesome if you could get me a parts list and pics. Does he have a pressure guage and where did the sending unit go ? At the T fitting ? Any pressure issues or problems after doing the delete this way ?

The pressure sensor is on the regulator. He has a RR. But you could put it on the tee, some have a gauge port built into them.

DD, I like the fuel delete but I just dont want to have the reg return. The whole reason I got the AD2 was so I could run a fuel system with out a Reg. return. Some say I can do it some say I cant. I really dont want to spend an addition 400-500 bucks to have another regulator in my fuel system. 2 of them doesnt make sense to me. The Ad2 already has a built in one.

The air dog regulator does not eliminate the dead head design of the 6.0 fuel system, as it only feeds the injectors through the front banjos, and still dead ends in the rear of the head. Therefore it only regulates psi drop at the front of the heads, not the furthest point from the pump where it will drop psi first (your back two injectors). The regulated return makes it so that your fuel pump is constantly flowing fuel through the head and now is regulated after the heads which keeps 100% even psi on all 8.

This shows the connection where the quick connect adapter was under the truck. We used a -8 AN union and two -8 Push-Lok to AN hose ends, but simply using a -8 Push-Lok union would be easier.

This is just a shot of the tee and lines going to the front of the heads.

I often set guys up with Airdogs to just run the airdog as a pusher pump without the spring in and completely eliminating the return going back through it so the regulated return functions independantly and correctly.
