came preset to 18. Is this ok? From what I got, the stock lift pump only supplies like 3-5 psi on the 6.4?

Ok. I suppose Ill have to run a gauge somewhere to get an accurate measurement. I have the aluminum fuel cap with a tap on top. Could I do this there?

8-10 psi is what I hear. Any higher and you push a seal out if the hpfp

:jawdrop: Yep ..Turning it down now. Thats all I need to know. Would going slightly less than 8 be ok or does it have to be at 8-10? I appreciate the help.

I'm still sitting on pins and needles with this truck. I dont want to take any chances. Still getting used to the 6.4. I'm less afraid of the 6.0 at this point but then again that's where I came from and what I was comfortable with. I really really like this truck and amazed with it over my 6.0 and just want to make sure everything is exactly right. Needless to say, the truck hasn't moved an inch and has been on lock down since I got this information LOL I'll set it at 10.

In another thread, Tadd said he ran one at 20. Obviously that is not optimal but I am sure you didn't hurt anything...especially if that is original HPFP.

I've been running 18psi with my fass for almost a year with no issues. But I know it's not the best thing for my truck so I will be setting my new fuel lab at 12psi. Like the op I don't want issues especially with blowing seals out. But it survived at 18 with no issues for a long til the fass took a dump.

Ok, I tried to adjust it..backed the set screw out and nothing. It won't drop below 20psi. When I screw it in it went up to 24. Any ideas???

You need to get the actual fuel pressure coming out of the fuel lab. I don't think where you are reading is actual. My dashdaq reads twenty pounds and my pressure is 15. I just installed my fuel lab today. I backed the regulator out a half turn and my pressure went from 18 to 15. Now the gauge I'm using isn't the most accurate right now. It's 0-120 non liquid filled. So I'm assuming. But the needle did drop when I backed it out. I will be getting a new gauge this week so I will be able to confirm my adjustment.
