So I put a RC 4.5" lift on the truck about a month ago and have terrible axle wrap now, just running an SPD MPD tune. Im also Running RC drop carrier bearing bracket. I feel like Im getting wrap and vibration on initial take off and some on harder shifts. Need opinions on which route to go. The truck is a daily driver with some occasional pulling under 10k pounds.
Option A: Rear lift leaf springs. Not sure what brand I would go for? (Procomp, BDS, ICON, etc). Would be considering a 6" leaf spring with no block or a 4-5" with a small block.
Option B. PMF Fabricated rear blocks. (Current blocks have taper. I read that 2 piece driveshafts need flat blocks? Would be 6" blocks)
Option C. PMF Traction Blocks. Would be bolt on with the 6" blocks.
I have done quite a bit of reading but not really sure which route to go. Don't see a whole lot of complaints out of Icon Lifts with 6" rear blocks so Im not sure if the block is my problem or what.
