Hi all. Getting ready to install pyro/boost gauge in my truck. Is there a way to tie the aftermarket gauges to the dash gauges in order to use the dimmer? Thanks!

Yes it is just be sure to get onto the load side of the fuse so that the circuit will be fused. Or put a inline fuse to the lights.

The load side is the side that goes to the dash lights. The hot side would be the side that is always has 12 volts on.

Im installing a pyro/boost gauge from autometer. The boost gauge only comes with a ground and 12volt connection. So im going to connect to the "factory illumination circuit" for power and dimming?

The boost gauge should be purely mechanical (no power required to operate it). The 12V connection should only be for the lighting. Cheers!
