The other smaller wire on the GPR (R/LG on the other side of the relay coil) splices into the Fuel Heater circuit on the underhood fusebox side of the Fuel Bowl harness connector (C1047). Since you have the fuel heater disconnected, that should take that path out. I would still do the checks again with the P/O wire isolated. If you stll get the same readings with those 3 PCM pins, I would be thinking that something has shorted in the harness (the EVTM shows no other connections to or splices with other PCM wiring). Cheers!

I took the P/O wire off the GPR and disconnected the PCM plug. It only ohm'd out to the 1 spot in the plug. Good call Patrick.

Is it true that if you disconnect the oil temp switch that the PCM will ground the P/O wire for the full 2 minutes?

I came to the same conslusion with mine. It must be the PCM. Let's try not to outbid each other on ebay, OK?

TDE1 had a more sophesticated strategy to not run the glow plugs so much. Cold start they should be on for a little bit.... read room temperature....

I wonder what temperature the TDE1 programing starts using the glow plugs? I wonder if it is adjustable via an AE programmer/scanner?

I have not seen an adjustment for that with AE for sure. I have also not spotted a parameter for that in tuning software.

I have to say, I also think your GPR and computer are operating normally.

If you're really worried about it, find another TDE1 PCM and buy it. You can hook it up without removing the old PCM, just for testing. If it doesn't do anything different you'll know that it's the same and I'll buy it from you when you're done (assuming it's a good price and for a manual truck).

If I run across another TDE1 PCM I am going to buy it and test it (it will be for an auto).

I disconnected the torque converter lockup switch I installed (I like the way the chip works the torque converter, so I never use it) and ran the wire to the P/O wire on the GPR. If the PCM doesn't trigger the GPR and I think it should, I can manually do it.

I used the over ride this morning when I was leaving work and it started great.
