Grabbing gear while in neutral, wont go into any other gear

2004 f250 : :fustrate: While driving down the road, doing around 45mph, the trans acts like it locked up.. so i skid to side of the road and pushed the clutch in and put it in neutral, while holding the brake i let off the clutch and its still in gear.. it wont go into any other gear..any ideas ???

whats the shifter doing ? locked in a gear ?

Shift fork broke? Will it move the truck in whatever gear it's stuck in?. Either way, the tranny is coming out.

It will go into a gear but it acts like the e brake on and it just bogs the motor. While in neutral the truck will pull out like its in gear
