Gray haze at idle

It's not really a problem I have, unless it's indicating one, but for as long as I had my truck tuned and deleted it would have gray haze to it at idle, any ect or outside temp and after no matter how long I drove it. I'm pretty sure it has to do with tuning but does anyone have any input on this? What it means if anything, or how to fix it thru MCC? Or if their truck does the same thing and its of no concern.

Thanks

Well I ran Gearhead and hd300 and both haze a little at idle. I wonder if bumping up rail pressure at idle would atomize it better and burn it all

My first '08 didn't seem to but my second one did at idle also smoked more on takeoff. Could never clean it up with the LBF even with gear heads it seemed to haze at idle.

yep it will
bump it up to about 5500 if you have stock injectors, if you still have the haze go to 6000, and so forth untill its gone.

I have mine below 70 degrees clear up to 12k to keep it from smoking and then when it warms up down to 7600 but thats with big nozzles

you are on the right track.

problem is im always learning more, and there are many others that are far ahead of me, im just doing what i need to do on my truck to make things work better. But i will say untill i bumped the cold start rail pressure up my truck was going back with elites nozzles in the winter because the smoke was so unbarable for the first 15min of start up.

My truck had 53k on it when I bought it. The fuel system is still healthy IMO. Holds about 25k on hd300 hot setting at wot. But my poor motor had to endure the lack of maintaince from 5 lease owners before me. Engines top end was covered in sludge and there was a little ridge in the cylinder wall but still had the cross hatch marks. So a little lack of compression could be a cause. Never compression tested it thou and blow by seems to be a tiny amount above normal. I'll head in to MCC and bump rail pressure a little. Thanks for the input guys

Yeah Pw will go down no side effects other than maybe slightly louder injector noise
