Bringing this one back.
Just finished up swapping another engine into my truck. Planned to replace the engine mounts, but ended up running into a bunch of problems and had to spend $350 on other **** that i never even thought of replacing, so i had to forgot about the mounts. They did look good though, felt very solid, rubber wasn't torn. I just painted them and made sure they were tight on the engine/truck.
Well, i've still got the same damn problem. My engine is shaking some, not as bad as it was though, and on shut-down its still very rough. But i've got the inspection plate off the trans, and when the engine shuts down i'm getting a very harsh noise coming from somewhere down there. I'm not sure if these are related, but they've both got me stumped. Hoping to get the trans mount replaced sometime soon.
