I have a 2001 7.3. Long story short, the truck had problems, had the heads and block pressure checked, and the f*ckers didn't put the fittings that connect the fuel lines to the heads. Does anyone know what size the fitting is? Part number at a store? I'm assuming there were special o-rings on them as a normal o-ring would deteriorate in the presence of diesel. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Yep those would work or you can get the oem part... You won't likely find it in the hardware store.... The connection to the fuel line is a Parker vibra-loc... You need the Parker sleeves and not orings. I get mine at Dieselorings.com.

The factory fitting is not simply a fitting. It is a small one way valve. I have seen those valves stick and give all kinds of wierd fuel issues. Easy fix is to remove the fitting and screen (tiny, tiny lock ring) and bore them out. Make sure you deburr and clean compleftely after boring. One little burr that gets loose can kill an injector.
