most use oem... I think it is sideaction diesel that has some that are aftermarket.Ok cool thanks. I'm gonna go ahead and replace the lifters while I'm there as well. I'm assuming oem on those as well, or is there a better alternative?

perfect!Gotcha and thanks. I'll probably just get the stockers, along with the head and manifold gaskets, especially since I have the hook up through work. Already checked out head stud prices and getting ready to order them.
while heads are off, check piston hight to make sure you don't have a bent connecting rod. when my gaskets blew in the dually, I ended up with 2 bent rods. not sure if it did it then or from the cam gear dancing around doing the jig with the cps..Got some of it tore down tonight. I have a bent pushrod as well lol. Good thing I have new Smith Brothers push rods sitting here.

Well of course the side the head gasket blew came right off, other side not so much. Checked multiple times to make sure no head bolts left, went around the edges with a putty knife to try to loosen. Guessing it's really frozen up on the guide pins on the block. It's lifting the whole front end. Giving up for today .
Whack the **** out of the head with a heavy rubber mallet. Or put a pry bar in the lifting eye and get creative.
The heads are interchangeable. Count how many head bolts you have out. If it's an odd number, there is one still in the head. Count how many head bolt holes there are in the block that has no head. Multiply by two. If that is how many head bolts you have, they are all out. If not, keep looking.
you arent worried about the piston that had contact?
