I have purchased ARP head studs for my engine build but i'm still not sure what head gaskets to use. I plan on running a S366 turbo on a T4 mount with stage 2 injectors. Will stock head gaskets hold up to the increased boost?
What brand do you guys recommend?

Thanks
Colby

Talking with a few builders they all use stock head gaskets on high horsepower trucks. If you dont have to break the original seal i would just put studs in one by one and call it a day .

When I went to install my head studs, everyone keep telling me not to remove the heads to install head studs. I also wanted to install dual valve springs. Well to install the springs I had to remove the heads to cut down the valve stems. I was glad that I removed my heads because I also found that the front oil pulgs were leaking. And when I cleaned up the heads i also found that my heads were worped.
I said all that to say this. If you are not installing dual valve springs, and there is no leaks, you may be ok by just installing the studs.
But if you do remove the heads be prepaired to spend a little money on the heads.
I would use stock head gaskets eather from IH or Ford.
Good luck and have fun.

You need to make sure that the heads are straight and very smooth and the stock head gaskets are fine for high HP.

Thanks guys. I'm doing a complete overhaul on the engine so the heads are coming off either way. I will be sure to check that the heads and deck are straight.
