HELP!!!!!!! Dead key on 96

[94.5 Stroker]

Trying to help a friend out here. Pulled the trans due to a front pump seal. After installing it the truck will not start unless you jump the solenoid on the fender. He has replaced the solenoid, the neutral safety switch and ignition switch. It appears that the little wire on the top of the solenoid isn't getting power. He took a jumper wire and touched the battery and the post on the solenoid on the fender. Truck started. Truck has a 4r100 instead of the e4, drove itself into the shop. Also pulled the chip and no change. Where do we need to be looking?

Have you checked the uses in the underhood fusebox (especially underhood fuse 10)? Cheers!

He said he checked all the fuses. He started it via jumping the solenoid and it is tunning aboslutley terrible. Loping really bad, belching smoke and the od light is flashing.

I would get a scanner on it and see/pull codes. OD flashing means trans codes.
