Help me light up the night!

My job has me driving the back highways in Louisiana at night, every night. These roads follow the bayous and are nonstop curves and darker than a panther covered in tar. I need more lights.

My first idea was to do Retrofits, but I am not sold on any single style. I actually like the OEM headlights and want to leave them alone. I have installed better bulbs but need more.

My two ideas are:

Install Rigid Q Series lights into the foglight spot. These are insanely bright at 7040 lumens, each. I would then buy or fabricate a kit to move my OEM fog lights into the location that they were on the 2007 Super Dutys. The wiring should be the same or similar and just finding a new bracket would be the problem.

Second Idea:

Install a 30" Rigid light bar in my lower grill opening (I have a Ranch Hand bumper so I can only fit a 30"). The light bar will cost the same as the Q Series lights and brackets but only produces 1380 lumens (still bright as hell but I thought would produce more). Additionally, I am worried that this will restrict the air flow to my radiators.

I guess my question is, what would yall do? I am not ruling out both but can only afford one right now. How difficult will it be to get and install the 2007 fog lights into my 2011?

Not my picture nor truck. However, it does show both options, kind of.

Thats Josh@The Diesel Cartel's truck. He's the guy that can hook you up with the Q series if you decide to go that way... He makes the wiring harnesses too so that you can plug them into your factory harness and just turn on the Q's with the fog light switch for your headlight's.

I looked at his website a few times. He never had the Q Series listed until today, I think. I tried to email him but no email address to be found. I will send him a PM here. Thanks.

Jgon, Thanks.

Does anybody know how difficult it will be to make the 2007 style fog lights t work on 2011 trucks? Use 2011 housings with 2007 brackets? Use 2007 lights with 2007 brackets?

I have similar setup as hosh , and holy hell , with fogs and bar on ... you will DESTROY oncoming traffic and anyone in front of you. its great for people who drive slow or cut you off.

2nd Josh's replacement headlight and fog light bulbs. I think any combo of these with Qs and a light bar will confuse the internal clocks on the plant life on the side of the road.

His headlight bulbs? Are they just regular LED bulbs? I heard that these in halogen housings are a terrible idea.

Low beams are good but I had no high beams whatsoever. The stock reflectors would not reflect the light of the high beam.... I switched back to stockers with PIAA halogen bulbs.

Yeah, I do too much driving to not be DOT compliant. I would just rather be able to turn on a switch for additional lighting. I just cant figure out how hard it will be to move my foglights to the center grille to make room for the Q lights.

Why do you want to keep the factory fog lights? Just ditch them and put the Q series in. I have dually D2's that were out before the Q's. But I think I'm going to have to get Q's if they are that much brighter.

Those Q's don't look too bad. Since a few of you already have them you already know......so, how much are they running with the brackets and install kit?

I do lot of driving down back bayou roads. Zero traffic for miles and miles = Q series.

I also do a fair amount of highway driving and want the fog lights for their intended purpose. DPS is pretty lenient down here far as modifications go but turn on those Q series on the interstate (fog or not) and they'll light you up.
