I have this old medium duty tractor I am restoring slowly. It is a 1951 Mack A51T with a 510 cubic inch Mack diesel with old school lanova injection 5speed with 2 speed air shifted box. It runs but I have not had it on the road yet.

Here's mine. 2007 Freightliner classic glider with EPA 98 12.7 Detroit with an SX400 turbo and turned up to 600hp.

Anyone on here have experience with the new common rail Cummins isx? Found a deal on a 2012 kenworth with one that has 465k on it and I need a California friendly truck.

Thank you! Its a '94 379 with a 3406c converted to a B style pump and been built to 700hp. 13spd, 2spd rears on air trac. Been stretched to 290" with new frame rails (no welding or splices). American class interior. Cosmetic work to come and I will probably go with a different turbo setup

Why the change from a C to a B pump? Very nice. 94-97's with factory mechanical pump engines are rare items.

Bringing this back from the dead. Looking at possibly picking up a big rig for a project slash weekend toy. Looking to spend less than $20k but it has to have a sleeper for the dog to ride in and give wife and I a place to crash if we go to an overnight show. Don't care if it has over a million miles on it, it's not going to haul anything. Thinking a nice early 80's 359 or A model is the way to go. Any thoughts? Pretty much have it narrowed down to N-14 or B model Cat as well. 6NZ would be sweet but those trucks are newer and $50k or more.

If its going to be a show truck try and find one with a cool motor in it like a 3408 or a 12v71. A 359 or A model will make a great show truck, but making an all out show rig for less that 20K will be tuff, finding the older rig at a decent price shouldn't be bad though.

It will be a show truck, but not crazy like the Pickett or Texas Chrome Shop Trucks. Simple paint job, 8" straights, Texas bumper, high back leather interior, basic stuff. I just want something I can drive to the mall, shows, stuff like that. Some of the show trucks out there are super nice, but considering this will sit sometimes and come out occasionally, I don't have to go crazy. Local WalMart has a Friday night car show in the summer, so why not park a Peterbilt there among the Chevelle's and GTO's.

Something like this. Decent platform to start, needs some work, but not too bad. Asking more for it, but that's the asking price. I don't think it would take much to clean this up. Definitely take that headache rack off and sell, sell front bumper, new rear lights and bumper, new stacks eventually, and two new seats.
